The Prop Firm Spreads page lets you compare spreads and commissions across top prop firms so you can optimize your trading performance before choosing a challenge. Like the Payouts Tracker, this data is automatically pulled via API directly from each firm's trading platform, so what you see reflects live, real-time spread data rather than firm-submitted claims or advertised figures. This article covers what the Spreads page shows, how to use it, and a few things worth keeping in mind.
What the Spreads Page Shows
For each firm covered, the table shows its trading platform (currently MT5, with more platforms being added soon) alongside live spread data for a range of instruments, including EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, XAU/USD, US30, and BTC/USD. Each spread value is color-coded to make comparisons easier at a glance, tighter spreads are highlighted differently from wider ones, so you can quickly spot which firms offer the most competitive pricing on the instruments you actually trade.
Because this data is pulled automatically via API rather than manually reported, it updates on its own as conditions on each firm's platform change, giving you a more objective, real-time view of trading costs across firms.
How to Use the Spreads Page
You can filter the table by instrument category using the Popular, Forex, Crypto, Indices, and Metals tabs, or use the Search bar if you're looking for a specific firm. Each column, including the individual instrument columns, can be sorted by clicking the arrow icon beside its name, so you can quickly rank firms from tightest to widest spread on the instrument that matters most to you.
There's also a Lock Order toggle, which keeps the firm row order fixed while you browse across different instrument columns, useful if you want to compare the same set of firms side by side without the table reshuffling as you sort.
Coverage Is Still Expanding
The Spreads page currently covers firms on the MT5 platform, with more platforms being added over time. If a firm you're interested in isn't listed yet, it simply means we haven't connected API access to that firm's platform data yet, not that anything is being withheld. As with the Payouts Tracker, coverage depends on API access rather than a reflection of a firm's transparency.
Because spreads can shift with market conditions, it's worth using this page alongside a firm's rules and verified reviews rather than as the only factor in your decision.
